Threading Water Punch tutorial

Wanted to share something that I found today; I haven't tried it yet...but I hear it is a good tutorial on how to use the Threading Water Punch to make a perfect scalloped square. I have this punch so I am excited to try it...let me know how it goes for you!! And if you see any other good tutorials online, let me know that too (just comment to this post with a link!!)

December's Mission Project

We are going to support Morningside Church's Christmas Project for the children of Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. However, the items need to be brought to the November crop! We need 120 of the following items:
Barbie Dolls
Baby Dolls
Trucks
Hot Wheels Cars
Small, McDonald's-type toys (for stocking stuffers)
Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
Keep these items in mind while shopping. Please purchase quality items - these children deserve it. Buy as you would for your own, & bring them on Nov. 15th!

The October Crop recap

We had several new people, and several people who hadn't been able to attend for awhile. It was a great to see everyone. We all commented about how QUIET it was without several of our regular attenders (LOL!) The swap for October (by popular vote!) was a Christmas card, and we had 6 people sign up for that, which is due at the next crop. Many people are getting ready for the retreat coming up in 2 weeks, can't wait for that! And stay tuned for our next crop November 15th.

Please VOTE!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Please take a moment to vote for the next swap, coming up in October & due at the November crop. It will be our last swap of 2008, so think hard!! (The poll is on the right of this blog!) Thank you!!

October Crop Reminders

The September crop has come & gone again - and we had a great time. You have been outdoing yourselves on the food carry-ins lately!! The Favorite Quote swapped went well, and we had more great examples of art. The garage sale allowed us some great buys at cheap prices. And we got the news that the SISF Fall Retreat is already full. (I'm excited - this is my first time to go!!) Finally, we had our big Secret Sister reveal, and boy, wasn't that fun?? Some of knew, and some of us didn't. Thank you for participating!!

The October crop is coming up on the 18th. The theme will be "Happy Haunting". There will be a $25 JoAnn's gift card raffle, and hourly Attendance/End of Night drawings. The Stampin Up Ribbon swap will be exchanged, and we will have sign up for our last swap of 2008. See you in October!
